As I have complained in the past, our government is rushing through big decisions that involve issues which are too complex to decide so quickly. Examples include:
1. the Administration greatly curtailed its plan to cap salaries at firms which have received government money
2. the special tax penalty laws which were designed to penalize AIG employees
3. the plans to purchase toxic assets from banks
4. plans to consolidate regulatory agencies
5. the “Master SIV” plan
